The 3rd No Money For Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing is scheduled to be held on 18-19 November, 2022 at New Delhi.
This Conference will build on the progressive agenda of an integrated approach with collective involvement, initiated at the 1st Ministerial Conference held in Paris in 2018. The 3rd Conference will also seek to develop on the themes of assessing global threats, terror financing risks and, trends and methods to combat the menace as deliberated during the 2nd Ministerial Conference held in 2019 in Australia. The 3rd Conference intends to include discussions on technical, legal, regulatory and cooperation aspects of all facets of terrorism financing, and attempt to set the pace for similar high level official and political deliberations, focused on countering terror financing.
The Conference also intends to discuss global trends in terrorism and terrorist financing, use of formal and informal channels of funds for terrorism, emerging technologies and terrorist financing and requisite international co-operation to address challenges in combating terrorist financing. The outcome of the Conference is expected to be aligned with protecting communities from terrorism by enhancing global cooperation and building capacity to deny funds to terrorists and access to permissive jurisdictions to operate. India acknowledges the essential role of the Financial Action Task Force in setting global standards and expects this Conference to complement its work and that of its global network of Financial Action Task Force Style Regional Bodies.
